Category+ Layered Menu
OpenCart module Category+ Layered Menu is an improved standard menu
with the ability to open any number of sublevels for any category of goods.
The menu supports multi-shop mode, which allows you to display only the desired categories for individual stores and manage
this process through a single admin part.
You can customize the view to compact, partially open, and fully expanded.

- Upload .zip file to Admin > Extensions > Installer
- Enable "Category Plus" in Admin > Extensions > Modules
- Select "Category Plus" in the left column to Admin > Design > Layouts > Category

A good module, but it lacks the function to show only the child category of the current active one.

You can do it yourself - you need to comment it out in the catalog/view/theme/default/stylesheet/oop_category_plus.css file
line - background:#fafafa; (instead of it, do - /* background:#fafafa; */)
After that, to display the changes, you need to update the browser cache
